Book release: Direct Democracy in the EU: The Myth of a Citizens’ Union

The volume titled “Direct Democracy in the EU: The Myth of a Citizens’ Union” has been released this November, in Copenhagen. Part of ”Towards a Citizens' Union (2CU)” project and financed through Erasmus+ (Jean Monnet Networks) the volume represents a joint effort of 20 renowned think tanks from the European Policy Institutes Network (EPIN).

The book launch took place in Copenhagen, Denmark within the framework of the event “EU and the future of democracy” on 16 November 2018, which brought together Danish politicians, researchers and civil society experts, alongside other experts from EU Member States.

The chapter titled “The Untapped Potential of Direct Democracy in Romania” was written by our Studies and Analyses Unit members - Mihai Sebe and Eliza Vaș with the support of Bogdan Mureșan.
